Tanko Bushi Dance Marathon
September 18, 2021
10 a.m. to hopefully 10 a.m. September 19th
On September 18th, we will have a Tanko Bushi Dance Marathon. Volunteers have committed to dance Tanko Bushi non-stop for every $500 raised up to our goal of $12,000 to contribute to the kitchen renovation project. For every $500 raised they will dance for one hour, up to 24 hours. Raising our full goal will result in 24 hours of Tanko Bushi for our dance volunteers! You can donate via GoFundMe (https://www.gofundme.com/f/tanko-bushi-coal-miners-dance-marathon) or by mailing a check to the Seabrook Buddhist Temple, 9 Northville Rd., Bridgeton, NJ 08302. We appreciate your support of this fundraiser to help us move the kitchen improvements along! Keep an eye on our Facebook page for more details and to track our fundraising progress.
Bell ringing for Peace Day
Seabrook Buddhist Temple will again join the worldwide ringing of bells for Peace Day in Hawaii on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 3 pm ET. This is a zoom event organized by the Buddhist Hongwanji of Hawaii. We will join the Zoom event from the Temple at 2:30 when the program will start. At 3:01 pm via Zoom we will all “ring our bells for Peace Day from around the World.”
Last year, Samantha and Michelle Williams and Susan Jacques participated from the Temple. If you would like to join us this year, please contact Susan Jacques via email@example.com.
