Mochi Tsuki

We are sorry we are not able to have mochi tsuki this year.  We realize many people count on the mochi from the Seabrook Buddhist Temple Mochi Tsuki to carry on the New Year tradition of having mochi for New Year’s Day.  Due to COVID-19 health and safety guidelines, we must cancel this year. We hope we will be able to have mochi tsuki next year. Please stay well and safe. Happy New Year!

75th Annual Obon

If you missed our virtual Obon Festival you can still view it on our Facebook Page or at

Our own Hoh Daiko drummers and Minyo dancers performed traditional Obon numbers and everyone is invited to join in from home via the internet.

We know that this is a very modified version of the Obon event that we are all used to, but we are doing our best to keep the tradition alive while protecting the health of our community members.
